The Brazilian nut oil is for the care of skin and hair. In addition, there are also roasted Tuhka nuts (Brazil nuts), which have various health benefits. Tuhka is one of the gems that Mother Nature offers us. It is found in the lungs of our planet: the Amazon rainforest. Brazil nuts are an important source of energy, contain sufficient amounts of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals.
With the purchase of Tuhka oil or Tuhka Roasted Nuts, the indigenous population in Alalapadu is supported.

The Number 33:
The number 33 is what numerologists call a “master number" – a number that possesses considerable spiritual power that promotes healing, harmony and humanity. These are qualities that we at LXMI stand behind. It’s fitting, then, that our new facial oil is based on sustainable sources in partnership with Conservation International and other fair-trade, organic suppliers that promote conservation and empower indigenous communities.
Partnerschap met Conservation International
We have partnered with the non-profit environmental organization Conservation International and the Trio tribe in South Suriname to protect a rare species of Brazil nut that comes directly from of the Surinamese Alalapadu community in the Amazon region.
This project enables the Alalapadu community to protect 235,000 hectares of virgin rainforest, including animals. That is equivalent to approximately 4.8 football fields of Amazon rainforest per LXMI 33 bottle! This important agreement not only improves the livelihood of the Alalapadu community, but also helps protect the largest natural reserve of rare plants on our planet, which is important for our future.
Founded in 1987, Conservation International operates in more than 30 countries on six continents to ensure a healthy, prosperous planet where everyone can earn a living. This non-profit organization uses science, policy and partnerships to protect the natural environment on which humans depend for food, clean water and income.
Partnership with Green Growth Suriname Foundation
IIn 2020 and 2021, the Tuhka Alalapadu Foundation collaborated with the Green Growth Suriname Foundation (GGS) to set up a second product line under its Tuhka brand. The product line regarded roasted nuts for consumers. During the 10-month period, the existing factory was upgraded, drying and roasting machines were designed, the energy capacity (solar) was expanded, and a production process was designed. The community has received training in the preparation, production and finishing of the roasted nut product.
While the foundation’s work has been completed with the introduction of the new product line in June 2021, GGS is committed to continuing support to the Tuhka Alalapadu Foundation and its community.
